LOVE this bottle. Couldn't stand the lid it came with. Too heavy and rough, felt like it overwhelmed the design of the bottle. I swapped it out for the TKPro thermos lid from Klean Kanteen. Weighs have as much and allows me to use it as a mini thermos with easy pouring. Win. Win.

Well designed, love the cap

We love our new VeloCanteens. I've been riding road for well over 50 years now and these are the nicest water bottles I've ever had, other than a couple Coloral aluminum bottles, but yours are better.
However, we did get nice plastic straws with our bottles, but we cannot figure out how to use them with the bottle. What are we missing?

Great bottle for cold drinks!
Heiko M.
Great product, but it got a bit delayed as they somehow lost my order. But all good, eventually I got my canteen!
Cheers,

Great product!!! But.. order it from Amazon. The company shipping is very slow to respond to orders— and they ended up ordering it through Amazon anyways. Odd business practice.
Marc F.
Excellent bottle. Keeps water cold and coffe hot. Cap has some rough edges, but they were easily filled down.

Really love this Velo Canteen! I haven't used it on my bike yet but I'm sure it will work great. I've been taking it to work with me. It keeps my tea hot/warm for hours. It was packaged very well and included 2 different tops. Its lightweight and looks great.

High quality! I love it!

Excellent product - sleek look, durable, and keeps hot liquids hot - even in super cold weather. Highly recommend for yourself or as a distinctive gift for your cyclist friend.

To have coffee on the move is great!!
Bob B.
I would love a larger capacety container. Thanks
Malcolm H.
Wow! It is solidly built. No frills, no excess. Sits snugly in my bottle cage and keeps my coffee hot in the morning and water cold in the AZ heat. Exactly what I expected.

I live in Vermont and ride bikes year round. Winter is fat bike season, and it's a challenge to find anything that doesn't freeze after an hour in 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit. I decided to give Velo Canteen a try, for a couple of reasons, a warm beverage and the fact its eco friendly. OK, I also wanted my buddies to be envious! After several rides of various lengths and temperatures, I'm happy to report Velo Canteen passed the test ! It fits perfectly into my water bottle cage, my warm beverage did NOT freeze and my buddies were impressed I was drinking warm coffee while they tried sucking frozen water out of their plastic water bottles. The only negative comment I have is the excessive packaging. I understand you don't want the Velo Canteen to be damaged during transit, but it would be great if you could simplify the packaging to reduce consumption. Keep up the good work!

It does fit quite well for a metal bottle. A plastic bottle can flex for tight cages. Not this one. 1 piece of ice and my cold drinks stay cold. Haven't tryed any hot yet, bit I'll preheat it 1st (like any thermos). I like the cork w/straw, works well, seals well. Metal cork is "stupid heavy", I'll probably lathe out the very top and drill the knurls. Need to have a spare plastic cork w/straw.

Love this cool canteen!

I purchased a canteen as a gift of which I haven't had the opportunity to present yet, but it appears to be a great product and it looks awesome. The recipient often commutes on her bicycle, so I'm sure that she'll love it and put it to good use. The customer service was fantastic. There was some sort of shipping issue and once I reached out and informed them of it they immediately sent out another canteen.

I’m on my second one and I’m still impressed by the quality and the premium look. Plus even on my New Years Day ride my coffee stayed nice and hot for hours. Please don’t ever stop making these.
Philip L.
Great product lives beyond what it claims, thank you.
Rich C.
Crhistmas gift came just in time. Weather on the East coast has been brutal, but this bottle kept things warm for duration of my ride. Very nice product, would recommend it.
Curt B.
Purchased as gifts they await being used. First look these are well made with a substantial feel and finish... quality. Looking forward to field testing on rugged rides.
Karen W.
I think the stainless steel bike water bottles is a GREAT idea! However, you need to rethink your shipping and packaging. I ordered 4 bottles and they were each shipped separately in 2 boxes. Also, you packaging is OVERKILL! NO plastic is great but it's steel not glass. One simple box made of recycled cardboard would be better on so many levels. Please be more committed to your pledge to protect the earth as a B-corp.
Darin D.
For bike or around town. Retro feel and all quality!
Gregory D.
I put 2 or 3 ice cubes in the Velo Canteen, add my cold brew coffee, and it's still ice cold after I've cycled into work for 45 minutes and it's sat for a couple hours. Hands down best way to carry coffee on a bike!!
A drop-dead gorgeous too!!
Bruce A.
It is exactly as advertised -- a very stylish canteen, rugged within obvious limits. I've never used the straw/sip top, since i stop often to take pictures etc., and have coffee from it then! Obs, you need two bottle cages - one for coffee and one for water (I've not used the canteen for water - I freeze half of my water bottle, and I do not think it would work well with the Velo. The thing is pricey, but the quality matches the price. Great idea!
Jamie P.
Great bottle. Just gave it to my partner for her birthday today. The lid broke the first day.
Rich H.
Will be ordering another.
Leroy A.
The top of the canteen is scratched and pitted for this kind of money you would expect better ?????
Clayton B.
So far, I love it! It’s solid, well made, heritage grade.
The cap is beautiful, works well with my arthritic hands, but hefty. For a cycling bottle, I’m surprised at the weight. My small Hydro Flask (which I stripped and polished to match the stainless cap) is much lighter.
I’m not sure how to clean the deep recesses in the plastic cap without a dishwasher. I’ve tried every brush I own and none suffice. (Water only for the straw cap…) I bought this for coffee anyway…
It looks really bitchin’ on my olive green, ‘98 Rivendell Atlantis!
It fits King, as well as Nitto wire cages. Don’t do you dare use plastic or carbon cages!
With the dimpled surface, cage scrapes don’t look as bad.
Makes cheap coffee taste like the finest Italian fresh brew…. (not really)
It’s worth the weight, unless you do a lot of climbing.
Xavier C.
Disappointed with the actual performance of the bottle. Aesthetics… however are great.
Took it out for 2 rides in close to freezing temps expecting a hot coffee ☕️. After an hour my coffee was tepid to mild at best. At normal temperatures this should be more regulated but I bought this specifically for colder winter riding. Even after trying to boil my coffee I had the same result.
Not what I expected - but it looks nice!
What can I say convection is a bitch…
John D.
Love this bottle. It’s design is so stylistically simple but it looks straight out of star wars or blade runner.
It’s not too big or too small. Very manageable. The rim of the bottle where you place your lips is rounded off super well, very soft. The cups is very durable. I travel, I have dogs and a toddler and it’s holding up!
Totally recommend. Also the packaging was like so nice I felt bad about throwing it out. It was so nice lol.
John M.
wonderful design. it stayed in place very well on my bike. i’ve been drinking my coffee out of it in the mornings. But with summer coming it will be nice to use it to keep my water cold.
Terry M.
Well designed for hot beverages while riding your bike!
Brian T.
My Velo Canteen ticks all the boxes for what I was looking for: a classic look that wasn’t flashy, insulated to keep things hot or cold, leakproof, had a lid that wouldn’t collect dust or dirt while on the bike, and one that was just the right amount of volume for a coffee drink. What’s more, the mouth of the bottle plays nice with a few of my outdoor coffee brewing methods.
Nathan A.
Good for the price. Metal cap is on the heavy side, and way too much packaging.
David H.
This is one of those purchases that just work. Coffee really does stay hot for a long time, even in the cold up here in Colorado. love it
David B.
I’ve had the bottle for a week now, and I have to say I am impressed by it’s quality. My plan is to use it on my E Bike and Gravel Bike, though I find myself using it on a daily basis at work.
Frankie C.
Excellent quality and well made. Fits great in cages.
John W.
Love the Velocanteen, durable with a great form factor. Perfect!
Dean D.
Such a hip bottle! Happy to have this, share and make available with my friends and fellow cyclists!
clayton c.
Really love the bottle, it about perfect for my needs. The build quality is very good, hot or cold. I think the shape is wonderful, the cap really nice !
cheryl S.
Great quality. Can’t wait for a larger size!
John K.
Thermos works well - solid design
Stephen B.
Haven’t had a chance to use on my bike but took it snowshoeing in 12°f temps for 5 hours. kept my hot apple cider nice and hot. Can’t wait to use it on the bike. Great company Great product.
Dan F.
Looks great. Good quality. Really wish for more capacity at this price.
Bought as a gift and was very well received.
Stephen D.
Love this! Stylish on the bike and in the office. I’ve received several comments from co-workers who have admired this canteen.
Mike G.
I like the velo canteen. Only thing I do not like it the edge on the metal cap. I think it needs to be rounded out more. I can see sliding this into my frame that the sharp edge will gouge the finish.
Alix w.
The velo canteen looks and feel great. Solid and ready for early morning coffee carrying on my work commute
Chris B.
Bike bling! Top quality bidon! Keeps your drink hot or cold and looks amazing. If you’ve got a classic bike why settle for ugly $10 plastic bottles?
Andy W.
I Tested my Velo Canteen out on a cold new years day 3 hour bike ride, it worked great kept my coffee and myself warm, sipping during stops, for the whole ride.
Bruce O.
Bought a couple for holiday gifts and liked the build quality so much I bought one for myself. Really love the vintage retro style.
The two different caps are well made and heavy duty.
I've not used it for coffee yet but its a great for water. The flip-up cap is great for drinking water while driving a car because with the integrated straw it helps keep your eyes on the road.
Ray S.
Beautiful design. Keep beverage hot.
Nathan M.
Love it, well built and fits in the water bottle cage with no problems! Keeps my coffee warm during my commute.
Glen L.
Waiting for Christmas to get it out!
robert w.
out of the box, i like the looks of it. well made, sturdy, and functional. two tops included, a sippy lid and the regular one. i like it enough to have gotten another one to give as an xmas gift. sharp looking product. hint, it's not for weight weenies.
Jon Eric F.
Nice little bottle with the sport cap
Kory B.
I purchased this item for my son! He was just thrilled w/ it!!! He’s all about supporting all that encompasses any type of recycling. He has used it several times on long rides ( he’s an avid cyclist! Approx 200km/ day!) and shared that his coffee was still hot at the end of his ride!!! He is very impressed with your product, as am I! Great job guys! Thank you!
David O.
This bottle passes the briefcase challenge, i.e. it will not leak when you carry it in a bag. Perfect for that mid-morning coffee break. The insulating effect will maintain the temperature of your beverage for hours, better than any other bottle or travel mug I've used.
Be sure to warm the bottle before you put hot drinks in. The stainless steel body and lid are a heat sink and will turn a hot drink into a warm drink in a minute or two if you pour the hot drink directly into a room temperature bottle. Warm the bottle with a little hot water, which you discard before pouring your hot coffee.
The website gives the impression that there are two lids: an active lid and a stainless steel lid. I ordered a bottle and discovered only one lid in the box, the stainless steel one. I don't recall seeing an option to specify one lid or the other when ordering, and was led to believe that both lids would be in the box when it arrived. This is the only reason I gave it less than five stars.
Gravel Bike A.
I love this canteen for my gravel bike adventures. On warmer days I fill it up with cold hydration and it stays much cooler than the average plastic bike bottle. On morning rides and cooler days I fill it up with hot coffee or tea and the double walled construction keeps it steaming hot for miles. It is also perfect to bring along when I know there will be a coffee stop and I want to enjoy my coffee on the go.
Andrew F.
Love it but it’s smaller than I thought. Make a bigger one as I need at least 16 plz of hot coffee!
Jon Eric F.
It didn't come with the Sport cap as I was expecting...
The alloy screw-on cap is fairly heavy
Overall seems like a quality stainless steel thermo bottle
How do I get the Sport cap?
Ryan W.
Something about this bottle excites me! I do not know if its the beauty of the shape - Looks really cool in a retro kind of way. Or if its the fact that I can bring my coffee on a ride! I have never done it before and now I do not know if I can live with out it now. Thanks!
Damir J.
The canteen is much more then I expected… beautiful design and craftsmanship, keeps my coffee warm for hours. and the packaging is fantastic! thank you!
Jasmine M.
The absolute best bottle for not only my coffee rides, but also to carry around for whatever I need! Coffee, tea, smoothies, water, it's an all-in-one! Will definitely be purchasing more!
